DMS Library Hours: 7:45 am - 3:50 pm
To visit the library before school students must have a pass. Parents can write a library pass for
students just like they can for tutoring. You can also ask Mrs. Bagley for a library pass.
Library Expectations
- Be Safe - Be Respectful - Be Responsible-
The DMS Library is open to all students all day including before school and during lunch (after you eat in the cafeteria).
Sometimes you will come with your class, but you can (and should!) visit the library on your own too!
When visiting the library, please respect others around you by trying not to disturb them. This is a great place to collaborate, have academic discussions, discover new interests, and make friends, but some people may visit the library for a quiet place to work or read and patrons should respect the needs of others.
Our library is beautiful and unique! Let's all do our best to take care of this space, the furniture, displays, and books!
Placing a hold
If the book you're looking for is currently unavailable, you can place a hold and reserve it.
Once it's returned you'll be notified that the book is ready for you to check out!
To place a hold:
1. log in to your Class Link
2. click the Destiny (Library) app
3. Search for the book
4. Click the title of the Book
5. Click Hold it.
Book Check Out & Return
Students may check out up to 3 books at a time.
Books are due back in 4 weeks, but you can extend your time- just see Mrs. Bagley or a Library Aide to help you!
To check out a book, bring it to the circulation desk and Mrs. Bagley or a Library Aide will scan it for you.
To return a book, place it on the cart labelled "RETURN CART" which is near the check out desk. We will scan it in for you.

On the Book Reviews page students and staff can write book reviews and make recommendations to other readers. It's always a great day to share a great book!
