Based upon the school's mission, standards and community service statement, all students are expected to complete fifty hours of service in order to receive a Columbus Academy diploma. Five hours need to be in completed in school, and the other forty five are to be completed at an approved off campus service site. Beginning after the completion of eighth grade upper school students have four years to complete this requirement. The work must be completed by early April of the senior year.
To be a member of Service Board, you are required to volunteer in at least five service events over each school year, in addition to the general service graduation requirement. Two of these events need to be completed during semester one, and two need to be completed during semester 2.Â
