New Teacher Initial CPI-Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training
This course is required for any special education staff that will be working with students in an SLC (MD) or SELC (ED) setting.
This is a CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) initial course for New Teachers and Staff needing to be trained in crisis prevention. The course includes both Verbal De-escalation and Physical Interventions to maintain safety in school settings. It is a 12 hour course that takes place over two days. You must attend all 12 hours to be certified. You will have two options to attend this course. Both options will be located at Weinland Park Elementary School, 211 East 7th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43210,

August 13 & 14 from 8:00AM-3:00PM each day OR
August 15 & 16 from 8:00AM-3:00PM each day
Please wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes, no heels. There will be time for a short lunch break, but it is helpful to bring a packed lunch/snacks and water.
Classes may be subject to cancellation or location changes if there is a low registration number.
