Depending on the grade level each child should attempt to complete at least 1 -3 assignments per week. This is a flexible goal number because each child is different!
Review the presentation and have your child attempt to complete 5-9 assignments by June 4. Some assignments count for two-three grades! Stay safe and have fun!! :)
Do the week one assignment for physical activities starts this week?
This week, April 6th - 9th is a VERY flexible week to get all students signed in and give support where needed.
Students in all grades may begin working on assignments now if they are ready to begin.
However; I have heard from Kindergarten teachers at Maize and they would like Physical Education to begin on April 20th. So please refer to your child's classroom teacher and know that I am here to help you in anyway needed where I may support.
Will students be graded for Physical Education?
Update: At a meeting April 6, grading in Physical Education was discussed. As of now, we are expected to grade students for Physical Education.
- I plan to grade the classwork in the google classroom as your child completes it. Please encourage them to get started by April 24.
- I will eventually have to put a grade so I created a basic rubric for all students to follow: Physical Education Rubric - Quarter 4

The link has error when I click on it and I am unable to open it. How should I access this information?
I set certain google documents up so that students may only access them from their account. They must be signed in to the classroom in order to complete the classwork.
How does my child login?
Student Login information for parents
Student email addresses are in the format of studentIDnumber@columbus.k12.oh.us (for example, 12345678@columbus.k12.oh.us).
Students will use the same password that they use to log in to district computers at school. Students can access their email account from any device by visiting ccsoffice.org.
K-5 Students may login to Clever to access their apps.
Signing into CCS Learning Apps Using Clever
- On a Chromebook: Sign in using your district credentials.
- Once signed in, open a Chrome window.
- At the top-left, there is a pulldown labeled CCS Web Applications.
- Pull down and click Clever.
- Because signing into a Chromebook also signs you into the Chrome Operating System, when you click “Log in with Active Directory,” your portal will appear with your specific learning apps.
