The primary rule and expectation of students in the TV/Film Program is Respect and Professionalism. Students are always expected to respect themselves, others, and property. Each day students can earn professionalism points based on their professional behavior and actions. The forms below outline those expectations.
Since students are earning college credits while in this class, they are expected to produce professional, college level work (with my support, of course). Below are two example project descriptions and a scoring rubric. After reviewing these, look at the student examples page to see some of the "A" quality work students produced in class.
Film analysis is a critical portion of the TV/Film program. The best way to learn how to create professional videos is to watch and analyze what is being created throughout the industry. We watch critically acclaimed movies, most of which are Rated R. But a video will never be shown if its rating was due to sexual content. If there is ever a movie shown that you or your student are not comfortable with, an alternate assignment will be given.
