CDHS Chemistry

Class overview

Chemistry is a high school course that introduces students to key concepts and theories that provide a foundation for further study in other sciences as well as advanced science disciplines. Chemistry comprises a systematic study of the predictive physical interactions of matter and subsequent events that occur in the natural world. The study of matter through the exploration of classification, its structure and its interactions is how this course is organized.

About me

Columbus State/Capital University Graduate. I was born and raised in Columbus and have never lived outside of 270. My teaching journey started as a result of having great teachers in high school. I was not the type of student that one might assume would be good at Chemistry. My teachers were persistent and dedicated and that inspired me to do the same for future students. My teaching philosophy is to provide students the tools to develop their own understanding of content and to apply their knowledge to hands on activities.
