Fee Waiver - all students applying to college need to get a fee waiver from Ms. Cosgray or Mr. Lawrence, have their parents/guardians sign it and turn it into Ms. Cosgray or Mr. Lawrence. This helps us understand if we need to pay for your applications or whether the fees can be waived.
Log all applications in SchooLinks. This tells us where you have applied to and allows us to send transcripts
The Columbus Promise is a pilot program brought to you by the City of Columbus, Columbus City Schools, I Know I Can, and Columbus State Community College to boost college-going, student success, and prepare for the growing job market in Columbus, Ohio. We believe that without the worry of paying for tuition, and with your own dedicated advisor to help you access academic advising, career counseling, social and wellness opportunities, and essential support services, you can thrive in college and succeed in a well-paying, in-demand career of your choice.
The Columbus Promise Scholarship covers tuition and fees to Columbus State Community College after the Pell grant (if eligible) and any tuition-restricted scholarship(s). An additional $500 per semester for educational expenses, up to six semesters, is also included. Additionally, Columbus Promise Scholars receive exclusive advising and support to develop skills, behaviors, and habits that contribute to success in and beyond college.
CCS Class of 2025: The Columbus Promise is here for you! Apply to Columbus State today! Visits to Columbus State Community College begin in October. FAFSA opens on December 1st, and the Columbus Promise application opens January 1st.
