Steps for ALL College Credit Plus Applicants (New and Returning)

Note: Students are responsible for making sure they meet all deadlines and all components of the CCP application and eligibility process. Deadlines are set by participating colleges and the state of Ohio unless otherwise noted.

1. Watch Informational Video About CCP

It is extremely important for students AND parents to view this video, which covers the risks and benefits associated with College Credit Plus, so that you can make an informed decision about your participation. Both parents and students are responsible for understanding this information, so please contact your Counselor with any questions or concerns about the information presented here.

2. Complete the Intent to Participate Form (All CCP Students, Every Year)

Statewide deadline: April 1st

Notifies the district (and us!) that you are interested in participating in College Credit Plus. This is not a binding commitment, and it is not a guarantee that you qualify. It shows that you understand the risks and benefits of CCP and that you want the state/district to pay for the tuition ;)

You can use the google form below or submit a PDF from the district's website. Both forms require a parent and student signature.

(The district sends Beechcroft intermittent reports from the google form. Do not be alarmed if Beechcroft does not immediately have record of your form.)

All interested students must submit this form EVERY YEAR by April 1

CCS Junior Jumpstart (rising Juniors)

Junior JumpStart (JJS) is a dual enrollment program for juniors that enables students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously who need additional support/structure for college coursework. Participating juniors will spend a portion of their day at their high school and a portion of their day at Columbus State Community College completing their high school requirements and earning 10 semester hours. Students must apply and be accepted into the program as 10th-graders.

JJS is a program under the umbrella of College Credit Plus (CCP). CCP was created by the state of Ohio in 2015. JJS offers an additional layer of targeted support and advising to ensure that cohort members are successful. It also allows students the benefit of collaborating with other CCS students. Participants are selected by the program committee in separate application and acceptance processes.

We highly encourage you to attend the JJS virtual information session. The link to join the virtual meeting is on the CCP flyer found above. During this time, the program will be explained as well as the online application process will be shared, please refer to the attached JJ flyer. CCS Seniors to Sophomores /S2S (rising Seniors)

Myth: "Seniors to Sophomores is the only way to do full time college"

Truth: Any qualifying CCP student can take some or all of their coursework at the College depending on course availability and family preference. You do not have to go through S2S

Seniors-to-Sophomores (S2S) is a highly selective, dual enrollment program for seniors that enables them to earn a year worth of high school and college credit simultaneously. The program will allow students to be challenged academically, gain valuable life skills and enter college as a sophomore. Student participants are chosen through a selection process after applying and meeting the program’s eligibility requirements
