About Me

Hi!

Welcome  4th & 5th graders!  When I was  your age I knew I wanted to be a teacher.  I love school, learning new things, playing with technology, reading, but most of all talking and have fun.   I feel very blessed to have been teaching for 29 years. I began my teaching career with the   opportunity to teach at  Hallsboro Middle School for 16 years. Where I was a Cheering Coach and Softball Coach while teaching  5th and 6th grade Reading.   I began a new chapter teaching  4th grade here at Hallsboro Artesia fourteen  years ago.   I am excited about my return to 5th grade and the new adventures we will take this year through our Into Reading  textbooks and Wordly Wise.

I have a very diverse educational background that lead me to teaching .  I actually went to school here and graduated from Hallsboro High School. I graduated from SCC with a degree in Business Administration and Early Childhood Development.  I  attended Campbell University  until my senior year and ultimately graduated from Pembroke  University with honors.

I met my husband Dave (also a Coach and Teacher) at Hallsboro Middle School now retired.  We have a son Levi who is a Senior at East Columbus High. We love sports and spend lots of time watching a playing .     Our family loves to travel to see college football games and professional baseball.

I love teaching and watching my students grow and achieve their goals and become successful.
