Teaching Mission Statement

My teaching mission is to be an inspiring and empowering force in children’s lives so they are excited and motivated to learn. I believe that every child has the ability to learn through their own learning style. It is my job as their educator to find the learning style that works for them and nurture it daily so that my students can be confident and capable members of society.

My conception of how learning occurs is through student-centered, differentiated lessons. I strive daily to provide my students with lessons and activities that provide an opportunity to get out of their seats and collaborate with others.

My goal for my students is for them to be the best version of themselves. I want them to have a passion for learning that never fades. When they think back to their elementary school years I want them to remember me as the teacher who believed in them and pushed them to do great things!

My goal for myself is to create visible and real change in the lives of all students in my classroom, be it cognitive, social, or personal.
