If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn. As an AIG Specialist in Columbus County I strive everyday to teach the way my students learn. STEM learning is an engaging and motivating way to reach all learners. The skills acquired though stem activities build creative problem solving skills, which I believe students need to succeed in the 21st century. Each lesson I teach encourages the creative confidence students need to become the next generation of innovators.

Students are naturally curious and excited about experimentation and I believe should experience opportunities tp learn by solving concrete problems and experimenting with hands on learning.

My goal is to make learning relevant and fun by allowing students to collaborate, build off each other's creative ideas and share enthusiasm.

I believe that if students are deeply engaged with STEM concepts they will be inspired to continue learning as a result of innovative and creative lessons.
