The NC Pre-K Program is designed to provide high-quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness. Our Pre-K class is full of fun and adventure to promote growth in the developmental domains that are critical to children’s overall well-being and success in reading and math as they enter school. We are a literacy rich program that is immersed in books that take us to many wonderful places and teach us many wonderful things. Each day we focus on how to handle different situations to help us grow socially and emotionally through our Social/Emotional Foundations for Early Learners Program. We use the Creative Curriculum Our class uses the Letterland Alphabet Program to learn letters. Letterland teaches phonics using a story-based approach. We love using Letterland because it is multi-sensory by activating every learning channel through music, actions, alliteration, movement, song, art, games, and role-play. Our students participate in whole-group, small-group and center time activities daily to promote and enhance learning.
