AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.

Hi, my name is Amy Jones and I am TCMS's School Counselor and AVID elective teacher. I believe the AVID program prepares students for the future by providing them with techniques to improve their academic achievement, inspiring them to think about future goals and the means to achieve it, and teaching collaborative and communication skills that are necessary for success in their future career.

I became a teacher/counselor because I want to inspire the minds of future generations so they may make a positive impact on the world.
