Accelerated Reader

The Accelerated reader program, or AR, is a reading program designed to motivate students to read books on their own. Students read an "at their level" book and take an online quiz after they finish it. Students earn points depending on how well they understood the book. Those points are tallied up each month. As a school, we try to meet various AR goals throughout the year. Also, students can use their individual points to buy items in our AR store at the end of the year.

Many of your children are already so interested in AR. They might begin to bring home AR books and can most definitely take tests on them even at home! You can have your children take AR tests at home if you have access to the web.
