Hello, I am Melissa Shaheen, and I am the School Counselor for Columbia Elementary School
About Me: I have been a School Counselor since 2016, having worked for various schools within our County, providing in-school services and virtual services. I enjoy helping students with social, emotional, and academic learning, including social skills, anxiety reduction, and conflict resolution. I also assist families with outside resources and extra support. I enjoy talking to all my students and getting to know each one. My office is a safe place for you to come talk with me. Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my family and pets. My favorite teams are the SF Giants and SJ Sharks. I love bright colors and everything Disney!

Parents - Please call ext. 203.
Parents can also stop and pick up a referral in the office.
Teachers can send students down to the classroom or office for check-in.
Teachers can submit a referral on behalf of the parents with a signed permission form.
Students can drop in before or after school, during break, and/or at lunchtime.
