Blizzard Bag # 3

You will have a choice of two activities for today’s Blizzard Bag

ASSIGNMENT WILL BE DUE THREE DAYS AFTER THE SNOW DAY!!

Choice 1

Find the total area of three rooms of your house. Make a drawing of each room with its measurements.

Be careful with rooms that have “nooks and crannies”.

Choice 2

Go outside and build a snowman – You can do this with other classmates or neighbors.

1. Measure and record:

· the length of its arms and scarf (convert to various units of measure inches, feet, yards)

· the height and width of your snowman

· Measure the depth of the snow in your yard

· Measure anything else that you can think of and bring it to class for bonus points

· Calculate how many hours, minutes, and seconds that it took you to create your snowman

2. Take a picture of you standing by it and send it to me via Google Classroom
