Welcome!
My name is Alison Buettner and I have been teaching at Columbia for four years. I graduated from SIUE with my Kinesiology Degree in order to teach Physical Education. I also have my certificate to teach Special Education, which is where I spent my first three years at CHS, and then switched over to PE the 2022-2023 school year. Last year I graduated from Arizona State University with my Master's in Special Education focusing on Autism.
My husband and our four children live in Waterloo where we are extremely busy with their extracurriculars! You'll usually find us on the sidelines of a soccer field, a dance competition or cheering on a hockey game! We also have three dogs which take up any other "extra" time!
