About Me:  I have taught music in the Columbia Unit 4 District for 31 years.  I have three daughters and a son. 

     I started playing the Flutophone in Fourth grade when our district brought music back into the schools after a 20 year absence.  I immediately fell in love with the idea of making beautiful music all on my own (those of you who played the flutophone in grade school know all too well how "beautiful" they sound, ha,ha).  I also started playing the clarinet in fourth grade.  I just loved everything about music, the playing, the figuring out, the creating, the overall experience!  From that point on I knew I wanted to pass on that love to everyone else. 

My Mission Statement:

    I believe everyone has the capability to enjoy, create and perform music.  Through my class I provide a variety of experiences for each student to experiment, spread their wings, discover, learn and make music their own.  Above all else I desire for every student to fall in love with music in one form or another and realize the fun and joy it brings to our lives.
