Second Step SEL is a research-based, teacher-informed, and classroom-tested intervention used to promote the social-emotional development, safety, and well-being of children. It is implemented in all classrooms grades K-4.

Zones of Regulation

Curriculum used to help students identify their emotions and cope with the strong emotions. Students want to aim for the Green Zone and be "ready to learn", but often get stuck in another zone. This strategy helps them use language to identify their feelings and then teaches ways to return to the Green Zone through self-regulation.
