Our Guidance Program

Believing that each student is a unique individual desiring to be appreciated, successful, and to please adults, the counselors seek to assist students in attaining greater self-knowledge, developing a healthier self-concept, and formulating appropriate personal, educational, and vocational goals. An ongoing program of orientation, individual group and classroom guidance, personal counseling, and testing, the counselors seek to help students to learn, understand, and move toward their individual life goals.

The counselors are involved with the environment which surrounds children, particularly the teachers, curriculum, and parents. Parents may participate in the modification of these aspects of the child’s environment. The counselors seek to help students assess their ability and achievements and make decisions suitable to their lifestyles.
