A lifelong learner with a heart for education, I hail from Dublin in Middle Georgia and possess an undying passion for all things school supplies (especially pens and notepads!). My journey began with a desire to work in a lab, fueled by a bachelor's in biology and chemistry from Georgia Southern University (2002). However, a calling to empower others led me back to Georgia Southern for a Master's in Middle Grades (4-8) Education (2007) in Math and Science. Never one to stop growing, I pursued a Specialist Degree (2011) in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Digital Learning and added on Secondary Certification for Math and then Science (6-12). I'm currently a Doctoral Student at Columbus State University, diving deeper into Science Education and technology integration with my EdD in Curriculum and Instruction.
Married with three amazing kids – Caleb (24), Jackson (12), and Adeline (8), and our 1-year-old granddaughter Aiyla– our family thrives on camping adventures, cheering each other on in sports and activities, and indulging in my love for baking. When I'm not researching the latest edtech initiatives, you might find me whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen!
I love learning from others and growing my Professional Learning Network both in Person and online.
