Activities
Service Activities
During the 2023-2024 school year, members have been engaged in two service activities. Members have assisted in keeping the school campus clean by working together to collect trash. Members have also volunteered as class assistants, led lessons on handwashing, and served as readers to the self-contained classroom housed at our school.
Fundraisers
Members bake and sale cookies to raise money for club projects and travel.
Members working to film a project for the Instructional Video Design STAR Event contest.
STAR Events
Star Events stands for Students Taking Action with Recognition. These are competitive events that FCCLA students participate in at the region, state, and national level. There are over 30 STAR Events students can participate in to show their knowledge and skills in areas of family and consumer sciences. se series of competitions students can participate in have many categories such as Job Interview, Career Investigation, and many more.
Community Involvement
Community Involvement is an important part of being invovled in FCCLA! A group of FCCLA officers assisted Ivy Odom Aponte in her cooking demonstrations on the Georgia Grown Marketplace Stage at the Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition. The Sunbelt Ag Expo is known as "North America's Premier Farm Show". Ivy, a Moultrie native, is an Editorial Producer for DotDash Meredith and hosts an array of lifestyle videos. She is the host of Southern Living's YouTube Channel "Hey, Y'all!" Ivy is a proud Colquitt County FCCLA Alumnus. These current FCCLA students enjoyed working with her at the Sunbelt Ag Expo!
Chapter Meetings
Our FCCLA Meetings are held on the 3rd rotation of each month. We meet in the C. A. Gray cafeteria, where we learn chapter updates and play team building games!
Competitive Events
Our chapter participates in a variety of competitive events each year. FCCLA members showcase their abilities and talents in competitions such as the FCCLA Chili Cook Off and Peanut Recipe Contest at the Georgia National Fair.
Chapter Membership Events
FCCLA is a great organization to join to build friendships. Members have fun participating in chapter socials.

FCCLA members learn about college opportunities during visits to colleges and universities.

Georgia FCCLA Meetings
State Leadership Conference in Athens, GA.
FCCLA Fall Rally at the Georgia National Fair in Perry, GA.
Region 8 meeting during september. Members attend region meetings annually to network with other chapters in the area.
