Preparing for Audit Basics

This class is designed for those new to local government in Colorado or for those wanting more information about the audit process. It will cover local government audit law requirements and things to keep in mind when selecting an auditor. The class will also cover the basics of an audit including internal control best practices, key responsibilities of the auditor and local government management, what the final auditor's report actually says, and what the Office of the State Auditor does with your audit once it is completed.
