This is Srimedha Bhavani Chandoo. I am a creative and perpetually intrigued person that is resilient when necessary. Encouraging and motivating my team throughout difficult times keeps me satisfied. My ultimate goal is to continue learning, motivating, and, most importantly, avoiding losing the flame of curiosity within me. Technology excites me just as much as leadership and management. A professionally certified classical dancer who is always willing to talk about it. Also, I adore the ocean.
I am now pursuing Master's of Science in data science at the University of Colorado Boulder. My primary interests are machine learning, data mining, and artificial intelligence. During my undergraduate studies, I became proficient in data structures and algorithms, algorithm design and analysis, and object-oriented programming. The programming languages I use most commonly include Python, C++, R, and Scala. I worked as a data analyst at Deloitte for a year after bachelors, where I learned several important skills such as Databricks, Microsoft Azure, and GCP, as well as gained hands-on experience working with enormous amounts of real-time data. Healthcare information technology fascinates me. IEEE accepted and published my research proposal, "Early Prediction of Sepsis Using Machine Learning". You may read it here.
Dance, dance, dance. Where do I begin!
People dance for many reasons. Fitness, fame, hobbies, and passions. If you ask me why I dance, I won't know what to say. I dance because it makes me happy. It gives me the sense that I know what I'm doing with my life, and if everything else falls apart, I know I can always turn to dance. I dance Bharatanatyam. For those who do not know, it is one of the eight exquisite forms of Indian classical dance. I hold a diploma in it. I am also a Door Darshan graded artist. If you want to know more, feel free to get in touch with me and we can have some interesting conversations!
