Today we got to know a little bit about Dr. Rachel Morgan-Kiss from Miami University. She introduced us to her work at McMurdo Station, Antarctica and the microbes that live in Antarctic lakes! In the next few weeks we will take a deeper dive into these tiny interesting organisms. We also learned how scientists get to Antarctica and some of the items they need to bring with them.
