The Planning for Urban Resilience Lab is a research group led by Dr. Sara Meerow that as of August 2026 will be based at the University of Colorado Boulder in the Department of Geography, Institute of Behavioral Science (IBS), and Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES). From 2017 to 2026 the lab was part of the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning at Arizona State University.  Our work focuses on making cities more resilient to climate change and other hazards while also enhancing urban sustainability.
