SUMMER READING 2026
SUMMER READING 2026
Welcome to Collingwood Reads: Summer Reading 2026! This year, you have more flexibility than ever to choose a book that truly interests you. Follow these instructions to secure your spot for September book discussions.
Browse this website to review options.
Review the Options: You have two main pathways for your summer reading:
Option 1: Select a Specific Title: Browse the list of featured books. Each book is sponsored by student and/or teacher "Ambassadors".
Option 2: Select "Open-Choice": If you have a specific book in mind that isn’t on the list, or you just want to explore a certain topic, you can join a genre "Team”.
Find “Summer Reading Sign-up” on the left hand sidebar (you may have to refresh to find book club selections).
Note: You might be asked to log-in again; do this, and you should see the list.
Make your selection; press "Continue" at the bottom and receive a confirmation.
Each Book Club has only 16 spots available.
Sign up is MANDATORY and due by Friday, May 15th!
Note: If you choose a Team, you must still read a book that fits that category to participate in the September discussion group for that genre.
May 4th: Visit the Book Fair during Community Flex to see print copies of the books and meet the Team Leads.
May 15th: Sign-Up Deadline: Register your selection in Veracross.
September 14: The Discussion: Be prepared to discuss your book or your "Team" topic during the special session in September.
