The patternABC provides a language for a world that children engage with organically through play.
By integrating patternABC analog tools into their exploration of natural spaces and participation in guided activities, students develop a shared understanding of how nature grows and builds.
Educators offer students "games" on the application to generate real-time data about students' emerging abilities.
The digital games students play on the application test spatial reasoning skills.
Educators access a data dashboard that highlights each student's strengths and illuminates areas to build upon. Teachers can then focus analog exploration, lessons and interventions to support each learner.
Researchers leverage data to inform understanding of spatial, mathematical, and verbal reasoning and learning.
patternABC application data is aggregated and de-identified from student, institution and teacher names. Personally identifiable information is never collected.
Access to the patternABC data resource enables researchers to surface valuable insights into reasoning and learning.
By engaging with the patternABC app, students, educators and researchers collaborate and contribute to learning science research, improving learning interventions and expanding knowledge of effective strategies for learners.
