New in the Cougar Shop! We’re thrilled to invite JK-12 students to showcase their creations in our Student Maker Display as we preapre for the third annual Collegiate School Maker Faire on Saturday, May 10th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
March 20 - April 3, 2025
I used paint, tissue paper, and mod podge to decorate the inside of these shells to turn them into trays. We collected the shells ourselves while on various trips to the beach. Practice makes perfect.
February 21 - March 7, 2025
Sixth graders in Language Arts read nonfiction science field guides, then crafted digital guides on species from Collegiate's campus. Each student researched a species, wrote an entry with original artwork, and linked augmented reality environments to visualize their species in natural settings using QR codes. They honed skills in research, citation, and descriptive writing.

My name is Scottie. I am in kindergarten. I make my crafts with a Cricut cutting machine. I used vinyl, iron-on vinyl, and a hot press. Sometimes, I needed special glue, clips, and snap pliers. I worked really hard. I hope you like my creations!

Reeve’s game, a creative twist on Monopoly, was a hit at the 3rd Grade Market. Centered around planning a family trip, the game asks players to budget, choose destinations, and navigate challenges. To make enough game sets for market day, his peers helped with production!

First up, we’re featuring 6th Grader Addison Tyler and her adorable crocheted sea turtles! Addison shared that “it feels like an honor to be in the Cougar Shop, where many students, peers, and faculty here can come and look at what I do.”

Community Collage: Since 2020, Maytal ’25 has been quietly leading her classmates and the Collegiate community in creating a mural that reflects on our shared experiences during the COVID-19 lockdown epoch. Through this community art project, Maytal hoped to: to strengthen the bonds within the Collegiate and Richmond community, to transform a challenging and isolating time into something beautiful, to encourage everyone to reflect on COVID-19’s profound impact on our planet, and to highlight how acts of giving—both individual and collective, no matter how small—can create a lasting impact.
