Welcome to the Moodle Quick Start Guide!

Moodle is a learning management system (LMS), offering various tools to better teach and learn online. The Quick Start Guide is a short video-based program that explores the essential features faculty need to know to maximize their usage of Moodle at the start of their journey here at CU. This course will guide you toward usage of the essential features you’ll need to manage your course(s) effectively. Whether you're new to online teaching or transitioning from another platform, we'll walk you through the basics to quickly get you up and running.

Course videos (above) are part of the Moodle Momentum course series, located within the "official" CU Moodle area. To enroll, you must be logged in with CU credentials (see below).

Please note, a Final QUIZ is required to achieve a Moodle Basics Badge (pictured, right) and to move up to the Intermediate Moodle Momentum course.

Get a practice course

To benefit most from this series, you should have hands on practice using an empty Moodle course in which you have the role of editing teacher.

You can use this Moodle Sandbox Demo with the teacher login (username = teacher / password= sandbox), just click on LOGIN

but be aware that this site is reset every hour so you won't be able to save your work.
