Before, between and after worship services
Printed copies of our denominational resource for Lent at Home (in English and Spanish) and a printed version of the daily calendar will be available.
Wednesday, February 18; 7:00 pm
Ash Wednesday
For the third year, we are joining with Goshen College Campus Ministries this year for Ash Wednesday. This service will be the same format as we typically do, with lots of hands-on, self-guided stations. Lent resources will also be available in the hallway on this evening.
Sunday, February 22-Sunday, March 22
Lent Worship Services
These will follow the MCUSA Leader theme, “Dwelling in Dissonance,” which is also the theme of the at-home resource.
Sunday, March 29, 10:30 am, Joint Palm Sunday Worship and Fellowship.
Similar to the last couple of years, this Palm Sunday service will include lots of participation from all ages. We will follow Jesus’s journey with scripture and song from the triumphal entry to right before the “last supper.”
Thursday, April 2, 6:00-7:00 Maundy Thursday Meal and Footwashing
Come to the fellowship hall for an intimate enactment of the last meal Jesus shared with his disciples.
Thursday, April 2, 7:00 pm Tenebrae Service
Come to the Koinonia Room to walk Jesus’s journey to the cross through scripture, song and candles.
*Note that Maundy Thursday and Tenebrae are both on Thursday this year, rather than our Tenebrae service being on Friday.
Sunday, April 5 Easter Festivities!
7:00 am Sunrise fellowship. Sunrise comes at 7:19 am this Easter! Deb and Bob Kauffman invite the church to their east-facing property to drink coffee, read scripture and watch the sunrise together. Then you’ll have plenty of time to go home, change, and grab what you need to come back to church for worship later in the morning!
9:30 am Easter Worship
10:30 am Celebration Activities and Snacks. Bring fruit, eggs, cheese, or baked goods to contribute to our Easter fellowship. We will also have playful, hands-on activities for people of every age.
10:45 am Easter Egg hunt in the Memorial Garden for children
11:15 am Joint communion in the Fellowship Hall.
