The music could be felt by everyone on the dance floor
Laughter could be heard all across the party
The candles on the cake still had smoke billowing out of them
A nervous smile is still plastered upon my face
Seeing the number eighteen hung across the room gave me butterflies
The realization of what is happening washed over me like a wave
The laughter died out as the thought of the future came in
The room became darker as tomorrow seemed so much closer
My head felt tighter with the birthday hat tied to my head
It was my time to bloom
But all I feel is that I will wilt out soon
Suddenly I felt hands pull me out of the dark
My friends shaking me out of my trance
Pulling me forward to join the revelry
I understand now that I won’t bloom in a moment
But I will soon grow

Shines bright throughout bleak corners
Yet floods empty arenas that all shine on one big performer
Yet, the light seems to dwindle, and fade
Drowned out by the dark of the world up ahead
It is true
The real world is cold, unforgiving and merciless
yet you shine above the rest, you’ve grown into something fearless
Others may try to drown the light, and the rest try to steal it
But it’s only you who can respond to the dark
Would you reply with a anger-filled bark
Or use i it fuel to light the spark
To me, you’re extraordinary
You’ve Been able to whisk away my fears and shortcomings
I’ve been blind for years, but recently you’ve given me clarity
My one and true, Luminary.

Strolling around the park
I see orange, yellow, brown, and green
How colorful the wind is
I wonder where the leaves would go?
How long will their flight take?
And what destinations would they land?
However, someone said
When they land
They break down
Eventually the tree grow it's leaves
Colorful and lively again
Leaves reminds me of living
We live colorfully and leave for another
Pale and weak, what we left is for the future
On earth, living is temporary

Thank you for making me smile
When things don’t go my way
You make things worthwhile
And all my problems go away
You stick up for me no matter what
You really are a true friend
Even though we bang heads like coconuts
You always see me through a lens
We are together all the time
We know everything about each other
You and I arrive in one chime
It’s like we are sisters from another mother
We may have misunderstandings
But those don’t break us
We always come back standing
With the power of “discuss”
We don’t get insecure about one another
As we support each other’s success
This is what brings our friendship further
There is no stress
You will forever be my best friend
And nothing will change that
There will be no end
To our strong habitat

Green engulfs my eyes.
How deep does this forest go?
Mystery here lies.
Mist surrounds the greenery,
Whilst hiding the mystery.
