Cole County R-V School District is honored to host a Veterans Day Breakfast and Assembly each year for our veterans and guests. The festivities start with a delicious breakfast, hosted by our Hospitality Club. After the meal, our veterans and guests make their way to the gymnasium for the program, including performances by our band, songs by our elementary, a keynote speaker and slideshow featuring submitted veteran photographs.
The Cole R-V School District's "Freedom Memorial" is permanently located in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center, honoring graduates of our school district making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The District believes it is one of the best memorials of its kind found anywhere. Those wishing to visit the memorial must check in at the school administrative offices. Guests will be provided an escorted tour.
