Meet Your Director

Hello! I’m Rob Doersam, the band director for the Coleman Schools. I am originally from South Wayne, Wisconsin. This is my 15th year teaching and 4th year at Coleman. Previous teaching assignments include: Black Hawk School District (South Wayne, WI), Assumption Catholic School (Durand, WI), Brookwood Middle School (Genoa City, WI), and Loyal School District. I graduated from UW-La Crosse in 2005 with an Instrumental Music Education Degree. I went back to UW-Oshkosh in 2009 and 2014 to finish my general music and choral music certifications.

I am an active member of the National Band Association-Wisconsin Chapter and I currently serve on the state board at the Intercollegiate Honors Band Coordinator. I also belong to the Wisconsin Youth Band Directors Association and Wisconsin Music Educators Association. Prior to Coleman I performed in the Monroe City Band, Highland Community College Band (Freeport, IL), Monroe Bel Canto Singers, Darlington Pop Factory Players, and the Eau Claire Municipal Band.

I hope to continue the tradition of band excellence Mr. Heyroth and Ms. Shuman has created for the Coleman Band Program. I am excited to be your new director and look forward to the new challenges and opportunities this position will bring.

If you have any questions for me, or would just like to get in touch, my contact information is listed below, as well as under the “Contact” menu.
