We stayed in a residence called “The Stay Club” in Kentish town. We had classes there and a lot of things to do, like watching movies at the cinema of the residence, working out in the gym, and relaxing and having a good time on the sofas. We were not the only ones in the residence. There were people from all over the world and of all ages. We met a lot of people from different countries, and we had classmates from Turkey, Brazil, Palestine, Japan and Italy. We established a really nice relationship with some of them and we are still in contact now. Actually, meeting new people from different parts of the world was one of the best things of the trip.

From Monday to Friday, we all woke up at around 8 am and had breakfast at 8:20. If we had enough time we could go to our rooms and get prepared for classes that started at 9 am. We were divided in two classes with two different teachers. In class we really paid attention to pronunciation, speaking, grammar and also the English culture. We had breaks between the classes and at 12:20 pm we finished and went straight to have lunch there, at the residence too. Our coordinator gave us some time after lunch to rest and get ready for the tours and excursions organized for the afternoon.

At 2 pm we met at the reception, ready to start the afternoon. We traveled through London by underground,or as Londoners say “the tube”, which was a very useful and quick means of transport. Fridays were the exception because it was the only day that we could make plans of our choice, we had free afternoons so we could all decide together to go to some places or visit something that we all agreed on .

Every day, we were back to the residence at about 7 pm and sometimes we had some free time to do what we wanted, including visiting nearby boroughs like Camden Town, until dinner time. We had dinner at 8:30 pm and after that we could go to sleep, but before that, we usually went to the cinema all together.

Our routine at weekends was different. We usually woke up at 8 am, we had breakfast and then we started our day going somewhere. At lunch we didn't come back to The Stay Club, we had packed lunches and usually took a break or stopped at parks or green spaces to have picnics and relax there. Normally, after an excursion we had free time wherever we were, sometimes to walk or to go shopping if we wanted to. We set a meeting point at a certain hour and then we went back to the residence and had dinner there.

So we can say that the UK trip, specifically the routine and the residence was all incredible. We had a beautiful experience and we enjoyed it so much. Although we had to respect the routine and the timetable, we got used to it very fast because we were very enthusiastic about it. The trip completely fulfilled our expectations and if we had the opportunity, we would all do it again.
