All About Me

My name is Mrs. Russell,  I have taught 20+ years at Colcord Elementary.  Our school is so wonderful.  Everyone that works here cares so much. We are like one big happy family. 

I have one daughter, (pictured above  with Trenton and Kenneth) who is also a teacher, and three grandchildren. Jessica is working on her master's degree.  She wants to be a Federal Program Director. Kenneth is in first grade, he wants to be an lineman, like his older brother.  He is always messing with cords. LOL! Autumn is a freshman, she plans on going to college to be a school counselor. and Trenton, my oldest grandchild is in college. He should finish up within the year. He will have an associates degree.

My husband is a truck driver. He was in the military for eight  years and served in Desert Storm. We have been married several years.  We have one house bunny, named Rosievelt.  She is very spoiled.  Rosievelt is a mini lop and runs freely in the house when we are home.  She is litter box trained and loves to eat lettuce and carrots. Rosie also loves racing down our hallway. She does visit my classroom from time to time.

I have several hobbies and likes.  I love binge watching my favorite shows on Netflix.  I enjoy having my grandkids over.  Of course I love to shop.  Diet Coke is my favorite drink and I love snacking on cherry sours.

The best part of my job is the children.  It is so awesome to watch students master reading, math, cutting, pasting, and social skills.  My heart just melts when they take off reading.
