2024 Referendum Results: Community Shows Support for Continued Investment in Schools

On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, voters in the Colby School District considered a two-question bond referendum in the amount of $17,770,000 (for Question 1) and $7,720,000 (for Question 2). Following the vote, the unofficial election results are:

Question #1  691 YES (59.7%) and 466 NO (40.3%)

Question #2  686 YES (59.9%) and 459 NO (40.1%)

Superintendent Dr. Patrick Galligan expressed his gratitude to the community for their support:

“We are incredibly grateful to our community for supporting both referendum questions. This funding will allow us to make essential improvements to our facilities, enhancing safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency. From modernizing our classrooms to creating secure entrances and expanding educational spaces, we are committed to providing our students with the best learning environment possible. These upgrades will not only benefit our current students but also ensure a bright future for generations to come.”

Next steps include continued design and engineering work with our project partner SitelogIQ.

The district will continue to keep the community informed on the progress of current and future facility projects.
