"I didn’t want to live a boring life." - Tom Hackett GVP Cofounder
The Adventure Begins
When I was young, one of my greatest fears was living a boring life.
I’ve always loved adventure. I’ve had a high tolerance for risk.
I wanted a life that meant something—full of purpose, movement, and meaning.
For a while, I thought religion would take all that away. I imagined it as rules and routines—a life drained of color.
But then Jesus called me.
And what He invited me into was the opposite of boring. It was vibrant, unexpected, and costly in the best way. He showed me that a life lived for Him would be anything but predictable.
Generosity + Risk = Purpose
I’ve come to believe that a life of generosity and adventure is the most fulfilling life there is.
Not safe. Not easy.
But rich with purpose, fueled by love, and full of stories worth telling.
Generous Ventures Projects is one way I live out that vision.
We build homes—but more than that, we build hope.
We go where the need is. And we bring others with us.
It’s messy, meaningful, and unforgettable.
If you’re looking for a life that’s worth living—
one that stretches your heart and calls you into something bigger than yourself—
you’re in the right place.
Welcome to the adventure.
