Exploring how chemical design, from molecules to macromolecules, supports a more sustainable resource future
Hosted by the Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence for Enabling Eco-Efficient Beneficiation of Minerals, this symposium celebrates the outstanding scientific contributions of Professor San H. Thang to polymer science and explores how precision polymer chemistry is transforming materials design for a more sustainable resource future. The event will bring together researchers from polymer chemistry, materials science, resource and process engineering, with a shared focus on recycling, resource recovery, and minimising environmental impact. World-leading plenary speakers will present an international program in the areas of polymer fundamentals, biopolymers and biomolecules, applications and industry impact which lead on to the following themes.
• Material Design - precision polymers, circular design principles, and recyclable materials
• Biopolymers - renewable feedstocks, biodegradable materials, and reduced environmental footprint
• Resources and Sustainability - resource recovery, industry applications, and minimising environmental impact
We look forward to welcoming you!
