This Privacy Policy describes how EMF Meter ("the App"), developed by CodeTailor Softech Pvt Ltd, collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

EMF Meter measures magnetic fields with your phone's magnetometer. Your readings, recorded sessions, session names, locations and notes stay on your device and never leave it. We do not ask for an account, name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location.

• Device and advertising identifiers: your device's advertising identifier (shared with Google AdMob to show ads), a Firebase app instance ID and a Codetailor ID (see "Analytics and the Codetailor ID" below).

• App activity:  which screens are opened, how long scans last and whether exports succeed, as events with counts, durations and rounded summary values, never your raw readings.

• Crash logs and diagnostics: device and app information when the app crashes, and app start times (Firebase Crashlytics).

• Approximate location: derived by Google AdMob from your IP address to serve ads; we do not store it.

• Purchase history: the store's purchase records for EMF Meter Pro (product, price, date, renewal and trial status), handled by RevenueCat on our behalf.

2. How We Use Information

We use this information to show ads in the free version, to understand and improve how the app is used, to diagnose crashes, and to unlock EMF Meter Pro on the devices it was bought for. We never sell your information.

Your privacy choices. In the EEA, UK, Switzerland and US states with privacy laws, EMF Meter asks for your consent before showing personalised ads, using Google's consent tool. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices. On iOS, the app asks permission before using your device's advertising identifier. We also use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports, which contain device and app information but no measurement data.

Analytics and the Codetailor ID. EMF Meter uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (for example, which screens are opened, how long scans last and whether exports succeed) so we can improve it. These events contain counts, durations, settings and rounded summary values (such as the highest, average and baseline field strength of a scan), never your raw readings, session names, locations, notes or files. To see how people use our apps together, we create a Codetailor ID on your device: a one-way hash of an identifier Apple or Google gives to all apps from the same developer (the identifier for vendor on iOS, the App Set ID on Android). It never includes your advertising identifier and is never shared with advertisers or other companies. We use it only in our own analytics, and only if "Improve our apps using your activity across Codetailor apps" is on in Settings → Your data (it is off by default in the EEA, UK and Switzerland). In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics follows your choice in the consent form. You can turn the switch off at any time, reset the app's analytics data with Settings → Your data → Delete my analytics data, and ask us to delete your analytics data across all Codetailor apps by email to contact@codetailor.in (the app fills in your Codetailor ID).

Purchases. EMF Meter Pro is sold through Google Play and the App Store; we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) to check which purchases belong to your device and to unlock Pro. RevenueCat receives the store's purchase records (product, price, date, renewal and trial status) and the Codetailor ID described above as the account the purchases belong to, so Pro keeps working after a reinstall or on a new phone with the same store account. This is needed to deliver what you bought, so it doesn't depend on the "Improve our apps…" switch, and RevenueCat doesn't use it for advertising. Deleting your analytics data in the app doesn't delete your purchase records (you'd lose Pro); to have them deleted, email contact@codetailor.in with the Codetailor ID the app fills in, and we'll ask RevenueCat to delete them. Pro unlocks only EMF Meter, not other Codetailor apps.

4. Data Security

Data sent to Google (AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics) and RevenueCat travels encrypted (HTTPS). Google and RevenueCat keep it under their own privacy policies. Your measurement data never leaves your device unless you export it yourself.

5. Children's Privacy

EMF Meter is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
