Distance learning PDF packs
Generic, leveled online PDF packs will be available to parents of students who are: medically vulnerable and therefore working from home and students who are advised by MOH to self-isolate, from the beginning of Week 3, Term 1, 2022. Teachers are asked to engage in one check-in per week (either Google Meet or phone call) with these students or parents. These packs will be created by DPs/SENCo, with literacy, numeracy, and theme tasks to sustain 3 to 4 weeks of schoolwork, hosted on this google site. This site will be accessible to parents who qualify. For ‘outlier’ students, parents can download an alternative pack (year level up or down). With the possibility of staff having to isolate, these packs are designed to require a minimal amount of parental guidance. Answers will be provided where possible.
In some circumstances, a class or year group may be engaged in the distance learning programme we offered in 2021, albeit with minor tweaks.
Packs will consist of:
Each year level will have access to a minimum of:
15 x mathematics activities (NZ Maths learning from home)
15 x literacy skills activities, plus writing prompts
15 x theme activities
These online PDF packs can be supplemented by other online resources, for example, Mangahigh (Y3-6), Epic, Storyline Online, Sunshine Classics. No additional work will be provided by the teacher via Seesaw or Hapara.
New material will be available at each level on the following dates:

Monday 14 February
Monday 7 March
