Pre-K students begin Istation Reading in the Foundations program. These are letter lessons with a targeted focus on the alphabet and alphabetic principle. The Foundations cycles are repeated until prekindergarten students reach a beginning kindergarten level on the ISIP™ Early Reading Assessment. Furthermore, both pre-K and kindergarten students receive a specialized short vowel instructional path before receiving instruction and practice with long vowels.
Students receive instruction and practice with short vowel decoding in Cycle 1 – Cycle 7SV. They then receive instruction and practice with long vowel decoding in Cycle 3 – Cycle 11.
This guide to Istation's Stages of Reading gives teachers characteristics of readers and text at each stage as well as an approximate Lexile® measure to effectively differentiate instruction.
This guide lists Istation's available ISIP Math, Istation Math, Fact Practice, and Personal Financial Literacy lessons with their Quantile Measure, grade level (ISIP Math and Personal Financial Literacy) or instructional unit where the skill is taught (Istation Math). Fact Practice lessons are identified as All Level. This is a must-have for teachers using Istation Math and Teacher Resources!
In support of ISIP Math, sample intervention lessons are provided for your use. Each intervention lesson includes a sample lesson, practice problems, visual resources, and additional support.
