I'm Coach Strong, and I'm so excited to be your Texas History teacher here at Lincoln Junior High School! This is my third year in the classroom and my first year diving deep into the wild, inspiring, and legendary story of the Lone Star State with 7th graders—and I couldn't be more thrilled!

A little about me: I proudly earned my Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University (Eat 'em up, Kats!), served three years in the U.S. Army, and later received a Master’s in Christian Leadership from Houston Christian University. I'm currently working toward my Master's in Education at Lamar University—because learning never stops, even for teachers!

Before joining Lincoln Junior High, I taught reading at Coldspring Intermediate, while raising my three amazing kids, and I also coach girls athletics right here on campus. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll find me spending time with family, exploring the great state of Texas, or worshiping with my church family at Evergreen Baptist Church.

This year, we're going to journey through the rich history of Texas—from its earliest peoples and Spanish explorers to independence, revolution, and beyond. I can’t wait to learn and grow alongside each of you!
