Reading is a life changing skill. With every new reading experience, our brains are stimulated to grow in response. This year I look forward to guiding my students on an epic exploration of decoding multisyllabic words, engaging with more complex reading texts, and responding to reading through critical conversations.
The journey has just begun, the universe is vast, and so the possibilities are limitless!

About Your Teacher
I am excited to be rocking and rolling into another school year at Coldspring Intermediate as a fifth grade reading teacher. I have over 23 years of experience in teaching reading to elementary students of all ages. My professional portfolio includes General Education, Special Education, Gifted and Talented, English as a Second Language, and Dyslexia. I served as an Academic Lead Teacher for students who learn differently and guided their classroom teachers. Also, I spent time as a coordinator for Gifted and Talented students. I am a forever learner who continues to grow my own skills.
