I started teaching the fall of 2011 after years of staying home raising my 3 children. Teaching is a lifelong dream which I feel blessed to live in every day.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Texas A&M University - College Station in 1999, and later, a Master of Arts in English Literature from Texas A&M University - Commerce in 2021. My teaching certifications include English Language Arts (Grades 8-12), Technology Applications (EC-12), Special Education Supplement (EC-12), and English as a Second Language Supplement (EC-12).

In the fall of 2023, I joined the Coldspring Oakhurst Consolidated District. Alongside my husband, we transitioned from a neighboring district, and together, we have deeply valued supporting the Trojan family and engaging with both students and their families. You may see me along the sidelines of a game taking pictures, or in the crowd cheering along--most likely with a bow in my hair. Please feel free to say hello!
