Ms. Kristi Byrd is a dedicated 3rd grade teacher at Coldspring Intermediate. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University, an ESL certification, and a TIA exemplary teacher designation. She has been an educator for more than twenty years. First starting as a substitute teacher, then as a paraprofessional before discovering her zeal for classroom teaching. Her passion lies in fostering a love of reading and writing in her students, and she is known for her fun hands on teaching activities. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Byrd enjoys reading, DIY home improvement projects, useless trivia information, and is heavily involved in her church and community. She also loves, animals (the fuzzy kind), chocolate, Mocha iced coffee, and the color blue (not necessarily in that order).
