This year I will be teaching four different courses.
Principles of Health Science: Here students gain a basic understand of the health profession and to help guide them in the career that interests them.
Principles of Health Science: Here students gain a basic understand of the health profession and to help guide them in the career that interests them.
Health Science Theory: Students in this class will be learning to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.
Counseling and Mental Health: Students in this course gain a better understanding of the prevalence of mental illness in America, how it started, signs and symptoms, and how each state is using their resources to help.
Career Preparation: Students will be learning vital information that comes with joining the adult world and becoming a contributing membe of society. We learn to build resumes, interview skills, taxes, and other important skills.

About Your Teacher
Mrs. Kaitlin Cook is currently on her eighth year of teaching here at Coldspring-Oakhurst High School. She started her work career as a veterinary technician and then joined the Army right after graduating high school. She enjoyed her job as a Combat Medic and after her time in the service she wanted to keep working in emergency medicine. She's been working on the ambulance ever since. After having children she decided to switch careers and help build our future medical professionals. She still enjoys picking up shifts and runs a first responder organization for her county. She is married to a COCISD Alumni and has three children. Email is the quickest way to get ahold of her and can be reached at kcook@cocisd.org
