✔️ Full Professor in the Department of Structures at the Polytechnic School and in the Civil Engineering Program at COPPE, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
✔️ Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1973), a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from COPPE, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1979), and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Liège (1988).
✔️ Leads the Research Group on Stability of Steel and Composite Steel-Concrete Structures, active in the Professor Fernando Lobo Carneiro Laboratory of Structures and Materials (LABEST) at COPPE, where he supervises master’s and doctoral research projects.
✔️ At the Polytechnic School’s Civil Engineering program at UFRJ, he serves in the Department of Structures and coordinates the Steel and Timber Structures Division.
