The scholastic bowl A team Coalers continued their undefeated regular season last night with a big win over arch rival Minooka. It was a virtual tie at halftime but the Coalers endured by outscoring Minooka 165 to 25 in the second half winning the match 305 to 145.
Jaybird Leman led the scoring for the A team with 50 toss - up points while the X-Man Baer scored 30, Abi Rose added 20, and Carson Dearth and Brady Pierson each added 10 to the big win.
The B team lost to the visitors by a score of 130 to 60. Grace Sitar, Cam Haas, and Tyson Harding each scored 10 toss up points in a match that saw the hardest questions of the year.
Cheer on the 11-0 Coalers after school this upcoming Wednesday as they host the IVC East Conference tournament here at Coal City Middle School.
