“Ranger Excellence School was an incredible experience. Whether you are a commissioned ranger or non-commissioned ranger, the training sessions are designed for anyone in our field regardless of your experience level. The diversity of topics that were taught makes it a unique training where you have the ability to engage in conversation and learn from experts in the field. My favorite part of Ranger Excellence School was the conversations that were had throughout the training with rangers from Larimer County and other outside agencies where we discussed what challenges they might face that are different from our own agency. Aside from the training itself, the Larimer County Rangers were accommodating, knowledgeable, and personable. Everyone involved with Larimer County made it an unforgettable week for our agency. I have already implemented some of what I took away from Ranger Excellence School into our own program. You won’t find another training like Ranger Excellence School in the country. You can tell that the Larimer County staff takes great pride in putting together a great experience not only for their Seasonal Rangers but for Full-Time Rangers from outside agencies. Lastly, you will not find another agency or training that puts so much time and effort into scenarios. The scenarios were well thought-out and as “real-life” as you can make a scenario. I would recommend Ranger Excellence School to any agency around the country.”

"I learned so much from your Rangers, and literally every class either taught me something new, something interesting, or a better way of doing things that need to be done on or about our lakes, properties, and parks. "
Todd Brackin - Henry County
"I can't tell you how much that experience has inspired me, and I can guarantee that every one of our Rangers will get the opportunity to attend RES in the future. I will also definitely be back."
Andy Brown - Washoe County
"This morning (only a few days after RES) I happened to roll up on a fresh bicycle accident where a guy had broken some ribs. We were able to get help on the way, get a good patient assessment, and get the guy’s info- all before the paramedics were on the scene. I think this scenario played out much more smoothly because of your FA/CPR refresher that I had just a few days ago. I just wanted you to know that your class has already made a difference."
Kevin Smith - Adams County
"The ranger excellence week was very informative, well presented, excellent teachers, and I would like to come back to take more classes. I would recommend this to any trail ranger, especially like us who are unarmed. The skills we learned were very valuable and we have applied some of the lessons learned this season already."
